HeartStart FRx Aviation Battery

Are you a pilot or own a plane.  If so, than you know that you're required to have a portable defibrillator on board your plane in the event of an emergency.  However, you can't have just any defibrillator and battery.  It must be one that has been approved by the FAA, Federal Aviation Administration.

The Philips FRx defibrillator has been approved by the FAA to be stored on planes.  The FR2 and FRx are the only AED's from Philips that are FAA certified.  Prior to purchasing your defibrillator, if you know that you're going to store it in a plane than you should purchase the FRx with the aviation battery option. Purchasing the bundle will save you over $200.

What's great about the FRx is that if you purchase it without the aviation battery you can later purchase a battery with FAA certification.

The HeartStart FRx aviation battery model 989803139301 can be purchase at AED LifePower.com.   The battery has a 4 year warranty or 200 shock capacity.  The battery is non-rechargeable so you will need to reguarly check the expiration date to verify that it's within the manufacturers date.  Since the battery has been approved by the FAA is comes with the TSO C-142 certification.
