Identifying the Philips FR2 Child Pads

The FR2 defibrillator from Philips was one of there first commercially marketing AED's.  It was solidly built with a rugged hard polymer case and has all the features of today's most advanced devices.  Chances are the FR2 AED you own is still in perfectly good condition after many years.

However, to keep your defibrillator working in the event of an emergency it's important that you inspect the battery and pads regularly to verify they are sill within the manufacturers warranty date.  On the FR2 pads this can be easily found on the package that contains the pads.  It will contain the manufacturers date.

If you own the FR2 model than you probably already know that you must maintain a set of adult and infant pads.    Although there are two sets of pads for adult and children, the child pads are easily identifiable by the picture of the small child on the front cover.  The FR2 child pads M3870A also have a pink barrel connector compared to the adult ones which are grey. (See picture to the left) These subtle changes were made specifically so they would be easy to identify during an emergency.

The FR2 child pads can be found at AED LifePower for the retail price of $98 with free shipping.  Please contact us today if you would like to place an order over the phone.
